CFL intermodal, a subsidiary of the CFL multimodal group in Luxembourg, has expanded its combined train network to include Ghent and Valenton.

CFL intermodal has introduced train routes from Bettembourg to Ghent (Belgium) and Valenton (France) and increased the number of weekly trains to Zeebrugge (Belgium).

As from 11 March 2019, CFL intermodal is launching a new rail line between the intermodal terminal of Bettembourg-Dudelange and the Ghent terminal. The train will run with five round trips per week and provide rail connections to Lyon (France), Le Boulou (France) and Turkey via the port of Trieste (Italy). The Scandinavian markets can be reached via sea, departing from the Ghent terminal.

From 15 March 2019, the company will also launch a new rail line connecting the intermodal terminal of Bettembourg to Valenton. 

In parallel, the frequency of intermodal trains between Bettembourg and Zeebrugge will rise from three to five round trips per week which will increase the number of trains on the above rail connections to Lyon, Le Boulou and Turkey.
