On Friday 1 September, the cabinet of the Luxembourg government met for the first time since the summer parliamentary recess.
One of the items on the agenda concerned fixing the dates of retail sales across the Grand Duchy for the New Year and next summer; the cabinet approved the recommendations of the Chamre de Commerce, as follows:
- winter 2017/2018 sales will begin on 29 December 2017 and will close on 27 January 2018:
- summer 2018 sales will begin on 29 June 2018 and will close on 28 July 2018.
