On Monday 13 November 2023, POST Luxembourg and Amazon officially launched the integration of the network of PackUp 24/24 stations and POST Luxembourg points of sale for the collection of Amazon orders.
This new partnership between POST Luxembourg and Amazon will enable Amazon customers to choose during the ordering process via Amazon.de, in addition to their usual delivery address, one of the more than 170 collection options provided by POST, in 24/7 PackUp stations or POST points of sale.
Until now, Amazon customers already had the option of creating a MyPost account and providing their personal PackUp address for delivery. From now on, it will no longer be necessary to register in advance for the PackUp service, which makes this alternative a practical and even more accessible delivery method.
When the package is ready for collection, the customer receives an email and notification via the POST Parcel and Courier app with the information needed to collect it.
Collection from a POST point of sale is made by presenting the tracking number as well as a valid identity document.
“We are delighted to offer Amazon customers in Luxembourg an even better shopping and delivery experience - more convenient, more flexible and safer,” said Antoine Dreyfus, Global Director of Pickup Points at Amazon, during of the inauguration. “Whether they live in the heart of the city or in the countryside, I hope that customers will take advantage of these collection points to explore the wide assortment of items that we offer in our German online sales space.”
Mario Treinen, Director of POST Courrier, explained: “This new service strengthens our long-term partnership with Amazon and demonstrates our good collaboration. As Amazon is one of POST's largest professional customers, our alternative delivery options, in particular our PackUp network, will be immediately available to many citizens. Thus, the customer will benefit from even greater flexibility in their online shopping experience. In terms of sustainability, this means that the ‘last mile’ journey, i.e. from the distribution centre to the recipient, takes place in the most environmentally friendly way possible.”
