After more than three years being absent, the Kannersëtzbazar (Child Car Seat Sale) organised by the Automobile Club of Luxembourg (ACL) is still popular: the most recnt edition was held on Saturday 4 February 2023 at the new premises of the ACL - together with ASPORT Cycling - in Ingeldorf.
On Saturday, around a hundred parents were successful in finding a child's car seat they needed at a good price.
As soon as the doors opened at 09:00, the first buyers who had been waiting outside the door, entered: the race for child car seats was on. It did not even take an hour for the first 50 seats to find a new owner. “The Kannersëtzbazar is an event that we have been missing since the pandemic. I'm happy, I found exactly what I needed,” explained Robert, a 35-year-old father.
In all, nearly 300 seats had been registered by ACL members in the days preceding the event. And of these, some 120 were sold. Advised by the ACL team of experts, young parents sometimes left with up to four seats at once. “We have twins and two older children. It’s now or never to buy at a decent price,” according to one mother.
In the coming days, ACL members who have deposited their seats will be able to collect the proceeds of their sale (the ACL facilitates the relationship between individuals).
The next Kannersëtzbazar will be announced shortly.
