The clothing store COS is opening a branch in the newly built district of Cloche d'Or in Luxembourg this Spring.
The new 474m² store is located on the first floor of the Cloche d'Or shopping centre and follows the COS aesthetic of modern, timeless and functional design. The environmental impact of the store has been carefully considered by the in-house architects with the stores facade and interior featuring upcycled bricks by Stonecycling. The use of tactile materials continues throughout the store, with glass and wood set against raw steel hanging rails, giving the impression of "rooms" within the space.
The new location will launch with the COS Spring / Summer 2019 womenswear, menswear and childrenswear collection which focus on the elements. Each piece is designed with a fresh and effortless elegance resonant of the movement and qualities of water and air. Like nature, the silhouettes evolve within the collection, mirroring the fluctuating form of the elements – from breezy to still, or opaque to transparent. The texture and performance of the fabrics are central to the design: luminous and sheer combinations of ripstop are inspired by refractions of light while fluid moiré invokes liquidity.
