Amazon announced Tuesday that the expansion of its Pickup Location Programme in Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg will see 1,500 locations added, including 25 in the Grand Duchy.
This planned extension, which will be conducted in partnership with parcel collection network DPD Pickup, will bring the total number of Amazon Pickup points to 2,300 within the Benelux market.
The DPD Pickup service will enable customers to select the time of day for the collection of their order, as well as their preferred Pickup Location during checkout from among the some 750 new stores in the Netherlands, 725 in Belgium and 25 in Luxembourg. Customers will need to present a form of identification at the store they have selected to recover their parcel.
The new Amazon Pickup network is available from amazon.fr for Belgium and amazon.de for Luxembourg and the Netherlands, and is eligible for standard 2-3 days delivery service for customers.
DPD Pickup points are generally open between 08:30 and 18:30, whilst almost all of them are also open on Saturdays and 20% on Sundays. To find a store nearest to you, click here.
"Customers can now collect their Amazon orders from over 2,300 Pickup Locations across the Benelux countries," commented Roy Perticucci, Vice-President Europe Amazon Customers & Fulfillment. "Many shoppers have adopted Pickup Locations as the most convenient choice to collect their orders. Expanding our Pickup points network in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands is another great way of providing our customers with the highest levels of convenience."
