A new curate is set to join All Saints Anglican Church in Luxembourg.
All Saints Anglican Church shared with Chronicle.lu that it was "delighted" to welcome its new curate, Rev Alison Heal.
Rev Alison Heal is moving with her husband, Ben, from Lyon in France, where she has lived for nine years and been part of the local Anglican church. With a long background in special needs education, Alison completed her initial theological studies alongside working at the International School of Lyon. She was ordained by Bishop Robert Innes at Holy Trinity, Brussels on 30 June 2024.
"I'm excited to join the vibrant international community at All Saints, and the wider community in Luxembourg. Ben and I love history, nature, music and discovering new cultures - I'm confident that Luxembourg will be a great place for me to learn and serve!" Rev Alison Heal said.
Rev Alison Heal will be working alongside the Chaplain of All Saints, Rev Geoff Read. All Saints Anglican Church explained that, while it is a training role, curates bring lots of welcome experience to it from life and other churches. Alison has both British and French nationality. Like an increasing number of the clergy in the Church of England's Diocese in Europe, she has a very European background and will specialise by working in the particular context of the Diocese which has 250 international churches in over 30 countries serving people from across the globe.
Alison's first Sunday at All Saints is 14 July 2024 when she will take part in the 09:30 and 10:45 services. Afterwards, there is a welcome BBQ in Bridel - all are welcome to join. For further details (including registration), visit https://anglicanchurchofluxembourg.churchsuite.com/events/0oarseb0.
