Jean Billa, the director of the Lycée Edward Steichen in Clervaux, has been suspended from his post, pending an investigation.
A spokesperson for Luxembourg's Ministry of Education, Children and Youth confirmed the suspension to Chronicle.lu. However, the ministry declined to comment on the allegations "as the investigation is ongoing". The spokesperson added that "the principle of presumption of innocence applies".
The "Commissaire du gouvernement chargé de l'instruction publique" is currently in charge of the case.
Lycée Edward Steichen opened its doors in Clervaux in 2018, with the official inauguration taking place in 2019. The public school offers both national and international (European) programmes.
