The Luxembourg Chamber Orchestra (OCL) has announced that it will present a family concert entitled "Les Fous de Vianden" at the Philharmonie in Luxembourg-Kirchberg on Sunday 15 November 2026 at 17:00.

Taking place at the Chamber Music Hall, the event will bring a local legend to life through orchestral music and storytelling.

Conducted by Pavel Baleff and narrated in Luxembourgish by Milla Trausch, the 65-minute performance will explore the legend of Les Fous de Vianden, inspired by the medieval town and Vianden Castle overlooking the valley of the River Our.

According to the organisers, Les Fous de Vianden were artists known for their talents as painters and musicians. These entertainers played an important role in village fairs and festivities, taking on different roles depending on the occasion. The concert will revisit their story through a musical tale created around an existing repertoire, recalling the festive atmosphere of villages in northern Luxembourg.

The programme will feature Leo Weiner's Fasching - Humoresque, Gabriel Fauré's Masques et bergamasques (Suite, Op 112), Léo Delibes' Le Roi s'amuse and Gabriel Pierné's Trois pièces pour orchestre formant suite de concert (Op 3).
