
With some schools having already reopened for the start of the 2019-20 academic year, including St George's, the International School of Luxembourg (ISL) and the European School, others including the Luxembourg state schools are due to re-start next week.
On Monday 16 September 2019, a total of 149,317 students will have begun the new school year in Luxembourg.
Among them, 5,997 are enrolled in the European schools (2,937 in nursery and at primary level and 3,060 at secondary level), 1,377 are attending the ISL (612 nursery and primary school pupils and 765 secondary school students) and 804 are enrolled at St George's (498 in nursery and primary school and 306 in secondary school).
The figures for the 2019-20 academic year for other private and public schools offering an anglophone tuition in the Grand Duchy are as follows:

International School in Junglinster (Lënster Lycée): 887 students, of which 160 will follow the school's international curriculum;

Athénée de Luxembourg: 1,443 students, of which 190 will follow the International Baccalaureate (IB) in English;

École internationale de Differdange: 593 students;

Lycée Edward Steichen in Clervaux: 382 students, of which 68 will follow the school's international curriculum;

Lycée Mondorf: 50 students;

Lycée de Garçons Esch: 968 students, of which 15 will follow the school's international curriculum;

Lycée Michel Lucius: 1,400 students, of which 535 will follow the school's international curriculum;

Lycée technique privé Émile Metz: 584 students, of which 44 will follow the school's international curriculum.
