On Friday 11 September 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported several violent thefts and physical altercations that had occurred in Luxembourg City and Bissen the previous day.

At around 13:45 on Thursday 10 September 2026, two men became involved in a physical altercation at Luxembourg Central Station on Place de la Gare. According to initial information, one of the men recognised the other as someone he suspected of stealing various items from a delivery van the previous day.

One of the men sustained injuries and went to hospital for a medical examination. Police launched further investigations into the suspected theft and carried out a house search on the orders of the Public Prosecutor's Office but found nothing.

Later that day, at around 17:30, police received a report of a violent theft on Rue de Stavelot in Luxembourg-Weimerskirch. Two unknown men reportedly attacked a woman and stole, among other items, her handbag and several pieces of jewellery before fleeing in an unknown direction.

Another incident occurred at around 21:00 on Rue du Fort Neipperg, also near Luxembourg Central Station. Two men initially offered to help a passer-by after he dropped a glass container. Shortly afterwards, one of the men struck the victim in the chest while the other attempted to knock him to the ground. One of the suspects then ripped a necklace from the victim's neck before both fled towards Rue de Bonnevoie. Police opened an investigation into the incident.

On the same evening, police responded to another altercation on Rue des Jardins in Bissen, during which two men sustained stab wounds. Officers subsequently located both men on Place de l'Attert. One had suffered a stab wound to the leg and the other an injury to the hand. According to initial information, neither suffered life-threatening injuries. One of the men went to hospital for medical treatment.

During subsequent searches and investigative measures, police found and seized a knife. They continue to investigate the exact circumstances of the incident.
