Monica Semedo MEP;
Luxembourg Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Monica Semedo has resigned from the DP party.
Monica Semedo had recently been suspended by the European Parliament for two weeks following complaints that she had psychologically harassed former assistants last year; during this period, she is unable to participate in European Parliament affairs and will not receive her daily allowance. It is understood that three former staff members had resigned within the last year.
She issued an apology through a press release issued on Monday 18 January 2021, and yesterday resigned from the DP political party in Luxembourg which does not condone any such behavious in its ranks.
