The Secretary General of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Lamberto Zannier, will be in Luxembourg on 27 and 28 January 2016 at the invitation of Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel.
The Luxembourg PM will receive Mr. Zannier at the Hôtel de Bourgogne, before meeting the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Jean Asselborn, at the Hôtel Saint-Maximin.
Discussion will address major topics in international politics, primarily an assessment of the situation in Ukraine and a discussion of the imporant role of the OSCE in reaching a lasting solution to the crisis. The meetings will also provide the opportunity to exchange views on migrations issues and responses to the crisis by the EU and OSCE.
The OSCE Secretary General will later be received in audience by HRH the Grand Duke at the Grand Ducal Palace, and will engage in meetings with the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Mars Di Bartolomeo; members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE; and members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence, Cooperation and Immigration.
