Jean Asselborn is in Amsterdam today to participate in the migration part of the informal meeting of Ministers of Justice and Home Affairs (JHA).
The Luxembourg Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Minister of Immigration and Asylum will be joining the informal meeting, which will enable JHA Ministers in charge of migration policy to address the refugee crisis, particularly with regards to the management of EU external borders and the role of the future European Border and Coast Guard Agency, which would be established as a strengthening tool to address the limits of the current border management agency, Frontex.
The agenda also includes a discussion on the future and the strengthening of the Schengen area.
