Luxembourg's Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel, will be leaving the country this week to engage in meetings with European politicians and business leaders.
On Wednesday 20 January 2016, Prime Minister Bettel will trabel to Vaduz in Liechtenstein for a working visit, where he will be received by his counterpart, Adrian Hasler. Discussions will focus primarily on bilateral relations and European and international current events.
The day before, the Prime Minister will attend a dinner hosted by HSH Crown Prince Alois and HRH Crown Princess Sophie of Liechtenstein.
From 20 to 22 January 2016, Xavier Bettel will join HRH the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg at the World Economic Forum in Davos, where he will meet with economic, political and social actors and will aim to promote the economic attractiveness of Luxembourg. A series of bilateral meetings with business leaders, representatives of civil society, policy makers and journalists have been planned.
In the presence of HRH the Grand Duchess, the Prime Minister will also chair a high level breakfast, in which business leaders interested in implementing a business in Luxembourg will participate.
Around 2,500 participants from over 100 countries are expected to attend the World Economic Forum meeting, which will be taking place in Davos, Europe's highest town. An annual event, this year the meeting will concentrate on 'Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution', and will be attended by 40 heads of state from around the world.
