The LCGB-SESF has reminded that the premiums provided for in the "Collective Agreement for the Work of Bank Employees 2017" must also be paid to temporary employees who meet the conditions.
The LCGB trade union has announced a reminder that the Collective Agreement’s premiums are also applicable to temporary workers who are employed in the framework of assignment contracts in banking institutions and who fulfil the conditions needed to benefit from these premiums.
The amendment to the Collective Agreement for the Work of Bank Employees, which was recently signed between the union representatives and the ABBL, provides for the payment of the 2017 conjuncture premium and a signing bonus of €400.
Yet some temporary employment agencies are slow to implement the provisions of this endorsement. Regarding the economic premium, the amounts are payable to employees in service on 15 June 2017 and whose contract (which must have started in 2016) is not terminated on that date. Employees shall be paid pro rata for their working time during a reference period from 1 June 2016 to 31 May 2017.
As regards the signing bonus of € 400, the amount is payable to all employees in service on 1 June 2017 and whose contract is not terminated on that date. Employees shall be paid in proportion to their working time and months worked during a reference period from 1 June 2016 to 31 May 2017.
