The Centre for Ecological Learning Luxembourg (CELL) will hold an information session on “Local currency? Why?” (Regionalwährung? (Fir)waat?) on Friday 16 June 2017 at MESA (1 rue du moulin, Esch), from 19:00.

The information evening with guest Max Hilbert aims to explain clearly what money actually is, and not only the current currency used on a daily basis, but also the alternatives that exist to this money.

With the example of Beki, the regional currency of the Rédange canton, attendees will discover what a complementary currency is, why it can be useful and how it is introduced.

The discussion will be held in Luxembourgish and will be translated simultaneously into French.
