This weekend will see diversions and lane closures on the Grande-Duchesse Charlotte Bridge (the “red bridge”) thanks to renovations on the bridge and the redevelopment of the crossroads formed by Avenue JF Kennedy and Boulevard Konrad Adenauer.
From 20:00 on 9 June until 06:00 on 11 June, traffic will run in both directions on the north side of the bridge, and the traffic lane on the Boulevard de la Foire towards Kirchberg will be closed to traffic.
From 06:00 to 20:00 on 11 June, traffic will be directed towards the city centre, traffic to the Kirchberg not being possible via the red bridge. A diversion will be set up and duly indicated.
During this phase of the works, bus Lines AVL 1, 8, 16, 18 and 20 will be diverted between the Pescatore Foundation and the Kirchberg Plateau via Eich and Weimerskirch. An extension of the travel time is to be expected.
The Philharmonie / MUDAM and Léon Hengen stops for Line 8 and the B.E.I. stop for line 18 will be suspended.
The Traffic Department and the Department of Roads and Bridges will ensure that appropriate signs are put in place and that the bypass route is marked.
