Virginie Simon’s winning streak continues after the French-American Chamber of Commerce in San Fransisco named her the best female role model in the fourth edition of the French-American Business Awards (FABA) during a ceremony held last week. 

More than 300 people turned out for the dinner celebration that anointed eleven different French-American companies and individuals out of 64 nominees for categories including social impact, wine, agribusiness, life sciences and biotech, US investment in France and food business. 

“The 4th annual French-American Business Awards was a very inspiring edition, celebrating the French entrepreneurial spirit and inspiring our community from Paris to San Francisco. Congratulations to all the Laureates!” said Eve Chaurand, President of the FACCSF. 

Virginie Simon, 34, is the CEO and co-founder of a science big data company, MyScienceWork. She is a biotech engineer by training and has a PhD in nanotechnology for cancer therapy. She has won a huge range of awards for her work, including an Excellence Award in 2008, Sensational Award in 2010, Best Business Entrepreneur of the Year in 2011, was recognized by the Berlin magazine The Hundert, listing the 100 best female entrepreneurs in Europe in 2016 and was awarded the Trophées des Français de l’étranger in the Entrepreneur category in 2017.
