The fourth edition of the Boucles de Cervaux rally is running this weekend, 12 and 13 May.
The time-speed-distance classic car rally requires drivers to complete sections at a specified speed and within a specified time. Those who go too slow are penalised as much as those who go too fast.
This year, 62 teams are taking part from Belgium, France, Portugal, Spain, and nine from Luxembourg, driving a range of Alfa Romeos, Aston Martins, Audi, Austins, BMW, Fiat, Ford, Lancia, MG, Porsche, Renault, Saab, Sunbeam, Toyota, Triumph and Volvos.
The youngest is a spry 1988 Renault R4, and the oldest a 1961 Aston Martin DB4.
With 12 regularity tests, the rally covers a course of 484.19kms, including 153.31kms on closed public roads, starting at Clervaux and covering Vianden, Wiltz, Bourscheid, Esch-sur-Sûre, Liefrange, Bavinge, Lac de la Haute Sûre, Brandenbourg and Vallée de l’Our, and more.
