Easter is afoot in Luxembourg and the city is laying on its traditional events, including the 190th edition of the Éimaischen and De Lapouer op der Gare markets.
The first, a craft market featuring the famous “Peckvillercher”, as well as folk music and dance performances, is on Easter Monday, 17 April, in the streets around the Grand Ducal Palace, and on Grand Rue up to the intersection with the Rue des Capucins, between 08:00 and 18:00.
Regional performers include, Uucht-La Veillée, La Ronde Beetebuerg, Valley of the Seven Castles — from 09:30 to 10:00 and 10:20 to 10:50; De Kegelaar van Wilryck; Lidderuucht Lëtzebuerg — 11:00; City Brass Band — 15:00.
The Easter market "De Lapouer op der Gare" in Place de Paris will be open over Easter until 14 April, with Easter eggs, decorations and Easter gifts, from which some of the proceeds will be donated to charity, every day from 10:30 to 18:00.
As part of Easter’s celebrations, a children’s carousel will be at "Roude Pëtz" in the Grand-Rue until 23 April.
