Banque Raiffeisen has revealed its satisfaction with the growth in business volumes achieved in 2016 by the its various businesses.
2016 has proved to be a successful year for Raiffeisen bank with business growth as well as the acquisition of a new customer base through its partnership with POST, considerable investments in the Digital Bank, and the development of an innovative private banking offer.
Indeed, as of 31 December 2016, the total balance sheet was up 3.9% from the end of the previous year. Similarly, assets under management increased by 3.4% and deposits increased by 2.7%.
On the asset side of the balance sheet, trade receivables and leasing transactions witnessed an increase of 4.7% compared to the end of December 2015.
Operating costs increased by 2.3%, an evolution which reflects the costs the bank had to incur in complying with the new regulations put in place and which could only be partly offset by productivity achieved in the various operational areas.
Consequently, the bank experienced a profit for the fiscal year 2016 of 5.6% in relation to the year 2015.
