Luxembourg’s near-inevitable expansion into a nation of one million people within the coming decades is the subject up for discussion at Rotondes on Thursday 16 February.
For Disons Le Jeudi: Un million, à quel prix, Laura Zuccoli, president of the Association de Soutien aux Travaileurs Immigrés (ASTI), Claude Gengler, editorial director of Le Quotidien, Carlo Helen, director general of the Chamber of Commerce and François Bausch, Minister for Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, will give their thoughts on the challenges ahead including accommodation, infrastructure, communication and land planning.
Among the questions to be posed: who will these new Luxembourgers be, and what professional domains will they inhabit? How can they be integrated sustainably, and what pressures or benefits will they bring to the economy, including social security.
