The Luxembourg Ministry of Education has organised information and discussion sessions on the modernisation of the primary school system.
Minister of Education Claude Meisch is inviting parents, teachers and other interested professionals to eight information evenings on “Modern primary schools, closer to the child”.
The Luxembourgish primary school system is pursuing a process of significant modernisation. As such, the Chamber of Deputies has received several texts redefining a modern primary school, focused on the pupils and the region and offering the necessary tools and resources for change.
At the heart of this reconsideration is the increased participation of parents, the development of schools, governance in each region, schooling for pupils with special needs, and the teaching and promotion of languages, modern teaching materials and programmes, and evaluation.
Parents and other interested parties are invited to learn more about and debate these subjects at one of the following information sessions:

The sessions will mostly be held in Luxembourgish although there will be simultaneous translations into French and Portuguese.
