On Sunday 26 June 2016 between 10:00 and 12:00, Bee Together - with the support of Slow Food Grand-Duché - is organising a visit to beehives in Syren where they will talk about the importance of bees and biodiversity; everyone is welcome to come to this event.
The exact meeting location in Syren will be sent to those who register for the event.
What to wear:
- Clothes suitable for the weather conditions;
- Long loose-fitting trousers / pants;
- Long-sleeved shirt that buttons up or zips up to the neck;
- Footwear with a good grip; and
- no perfume and cologne.
As bees are wild creatures, one cannot predict their behaviour on a given day. Therefore, it is important to follow the advice given above. Your participation may be refused if we consider that you are inappropriately dressed.
What to bring:
- one litre of drinking water, if you wish;
- a snack, if you wish; and
- your questions.

There is no cost for the event though the organisers encourage you to donate based on the principle of: Pay What You Wish. You decide how much you would like to donate. Donations from the event will be given to SIAS to use on their projects with local schools to make their schoolyards more pollinator friendly. Please bring cash to put in our donation box at the event or make a transfer to Bee Together's bank account - mentioning "pollinator-friendly schoolyards" (BCEELULL, IBAN LU46 0019 4555 2039 4000).
The Vélo Club-Hirondelle Schuttrange and the sponsors of their “Légère Solidarity Cycling Challenge 2015” are funding the veils and gloves to allow participants to more comfortably visit the beehives.
