During the inauguration of the extension of the FabLab in Technoport on Wednesday, the Secretary of State for the Economy, Francine Closener, announced the creation of a cluster involving national actors in the field of creative industries.
For professionals in the creative industry, this cluster of companies functions as a platform and aims to support the economic development of this sector which includes activities such as architecture, arts and crafts, cinematography, design, the games industry, marketing and communication, fashion design and new media.
"It is time to consider the economic impact of creative industries, which has the same scope as their cultural and social impact," Francine Closener said during her speech. "In this sense, I decided to create a new cluster dedicated to the creative professions to consolidate their skills and expertise, enhance collaboration and support entrepreneurship in this sector."
The Secretary of State for the Economy reiterated in her speech the government's agreement to create a joint venture between the city of Differdange and the Luxembourg State to benefit the creative hub °1535 with more important resources to allow it to fully assume its role as a player in the ecosystem, favourable to the development of young innovative companies.
