On Friday 10 June 2016, the Mayor of the Ville de Luxembourg, Lydie Polfer, opened the station summer fair on Place de Paris, in the presence of the "Groupe Animation Gare" and traders-stallholders.
The fair has carousels and entertainment for children as well as food stalls and drinks. It is being held from 10 to 23 June 2016 and will be open daily from 14:00 to 20:00; some stands of food and drinks however will already be open from 11:00.
During this period, the rue du Fort Bourbon (section between Avenue de la Liberté and the rue du Fort Elisabeth) will be closed to all traffic until 26 June 2016 at 08:00.
The twice-weekly market will be held as usual on the Place de Paris (by the rue André Duchscher) from 08:00 to 14:00 on the following dates: Saturday 11 June 2016, Wednesday 15 June 2016, Saturday 18 June 2016, and Wednesday 22 June 2016.
