Luxembourg group Rcarré and the group Systemat BeLux have announced the establishment of an IT alliance to provide computing solutions to both SMEs and large companies and organisations in Luxembourg and the Greater Region.
The new structure, operation from today, Wednesday 1 May 2016, is primarily owned (55%) by the Rcarré group in Luxembourg. The new alliance integrates the assets of Systemat in Luxembourg and will consolidate Rcarré's activities which are specialised in the SME market. It will also strengthen the development of Agil-IT, a support subsidiary of Rcarrée which will change its name to Systemat Professional Services, as an expert in the deployment of IT services to large companies.
Transversal organisation will ensure, for these two entities, shared services such as administrative support, marketing and backoffice. The new combined structure will draw on the expertise of more than 80 employees.
"The aliance we are creating with Systemat fits into the development logic of Systemat and our group which has a strong experience in the SME market," commented Jean-Guy Roche, CEO of RGroupe, of Rcarré and of the newly-created Systemat Professional Services. "Systemat is a major player, partner for large companies. It was therefore logical to reconcile these market segments, to integrate our respective expertise to offer small, medium and large public and private organisations, PSF and non-PSF, reinforced skills."
"Rcarré is the undisputed IT leader of the SME market," added Pierre Focant, Deputy CEO of Systemat. "Our strategy to support our customers in their digital transformation will therefore be developed across all market segments. With this new structure, we will be able to support large enterprises, SMEs and organisations in Luxembourg and the Greater Region in the development of their IT strategies."
The management of the new structure will be provided by RGroupe leaders with the objective of maintaining the pragmatic approach that the group claimed had made its success, including proximity management, flexibility and humanism. Rcarré will remain under the management of four directors: Jean-Guy Roche (CEO), Christophe Marx, Cédric Bavay and Luis Lunes.
Agil-IT, under the new name of Systemat Professional Services, will be managed by Jean-Guy Roche as CEO with the support of COO Peter Dockx, former CEO of Agil-IT who will furthermore hold the position of Compliance Officer vis-à-vis the CSSF.
During a 15th anniversary private concert celebration on 3 May 2016 at the Rockhal, attended by Prime Minister and Minister of Communications and Media, Xavier Bettel, Jean-Guy Roche emphasised the role that Luxembourg can play by hosting international or European providers in Luxembourg data centres.
