The first Luxembourg Hackathon of 2016 will be taking place from 10 to 12 June 2016 under the theme of "Sustainable Urban Development".
The objective behind the Hackathon will be to create a service, digital application, website or any software product in a collaborative way within a 44h timeframe, before presenting the prototype in front of a professional jury. The jury will be made up of Francis Schwall, Director of Neobuild; Itzel Lerma, Business Developer Independent Consultant; Cédric Dockendorf of Enovos; Eugene Mizin, Co-Founder and CEO of Job Today; ALex Sinner, Solutions Architecture PMO at Amazon Web Services; and Nicolas Vardavas, Chief Design Officer at Swipe.
This selection committee will then evaluate each project based on its originality quality, proposed user experience and technical and economic feasibility, with a €2,000 prize up for grabs.
The event will take begin at 18:00 on Friday 10 June 2016 at Technoport Belval, 9 Avenue des Hauts-Fourneux, 4362, Esch-sur-Alzette. Participants can choose to register as a group of 4-5 or as an individual, to then be put into a group according to their competences. Tickets cost between €30 and €80 and can be purchased here.
