On Thursday 2 June 2016, SECURITYMADEIN.LU will be providing a CRYPTOlunch to reveal the not-so-social side of social media.
Whilst social networks such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram form a part of our daily lives, they may also leave their users vulnerable if the latter are unaware of the medium's use of personal data, terms and conditions, or how they may be protected by Europe.
Dr. Matthew Farcot, Head of Legal Affairs at SECURITYMADEIN.LU, will therefore explain how these sites may employ users' data, whilst Chris Pinchen, founde of practicalprivacy.lu, will go in-depth into how the data from these networks can work against you.
The event, for which entry is free, will take place from 12:30 to 14:00 at the Representation of the European Commission in Luxembourg, Maison de l'Europe, 7 rue du Marché-aux-Herbes, Luxembourg. The talk will be given in English and French and will be followed by a light lunch offered by the Representation of the European Commission in Luxembourg.
