The social finance promotion association will reward innovative initiatives in Luxembourg with two prizes, each of €2,000.
As in previous editions of this contest, two categories of projects will be awarded: one for projects that were the subject of an alternative credit granted jointly by etika and BCEE, and the second is for an initiative that has not been the object of an alternative credit.
Since its creation in 1996, the etika association has supported creative activities on the topic of social wealth and/or environmental, through socially responsible investment. In collaboration with BCEE, etika has launched an offering of credits at preferential rates. In 2010, etika created an award to encourage projects that combine wealth creation with social and/or environmental added-value.
"We see from our very first edition a marked evolution of social entrepreneurship in Luxembourg, and we look forward to this initiative that takes into account both the new paradigm that we impose energy transition without forgetting the inclusion of new social relationships," said the president of etika, Magali Paulus.
The award is open to any organisation whether or not a merchant or not. Interested entrepreneurs are asked to contact etika for a form to compelte, by email: contact@etika.lu. The completed file is to be submitted by 3 June 2016 at the latest. Prizes will be awarded in later in the month.
