Lecture to Explore Controversy between Wind Farms and Rare Red Kites

As part of the "Science and Citizens meet Challenges of Sustainability" lecture series, the University of Luxembourg will be holding a talk dedicate to wind energy cooperatives on Thursday 12 May 2016.

The University will host Professor Pierre M. Stassart, director at the Socio-Economy, Environment and Development (SEED) research Unit at the University of Liège and co-director Dr. François Mélard. The two practioners and members of a citizens' wind energy co-operative in Belgium will provide experienced information on the problematic and controversial coexistence bewteen wind farms and red kite, one of Britain's rarest birds.

The lecture will be held at 19:00 in room BS 0.03 of Limpertsberg Campus, 162A, avenue de la Faïencerie, 1511 Luxembourg. To attend, email sustainability@uni.lu
