On Thursday 12 May 2016, the University of Luxembourg will hold 'Jeudi des Sciences' dedicated to the discovery of gravitational waves.

Dr. Hartmut Grote from the Albert-Einstein-Institut Hannover will be present to talk about gravitational waves, which were predicted by Albert Einstein in 1916 and successfully detected by scientists and engineers 50 years later. This detection listens to the ripples of space-time.

The lecture will take place at 17:30 in room B02 on Kirchberg Campus, 6 rue Richard Coudenhove-Kalergi, 1359 Luxembourg.
