On Saturday 11 June 2016, AfrikaFest will make its return to the Kulturfabrik in Esch/Alzette.
The event, dedicated to African culture, has been co-organised by SOS Faim, the Kulturfabrik, ASTM and Pharmaciens sans frontières. This year will feature workshops for children and adults, dance demonstrations, shows, concerts, African culinary specialties, information booths and a craft sale, as well as a special activity offered by SOS Faim. The programme will be as follows:
Workshops: from 14:00 to 19:00 in the Galerie Terres Rouges and courtyard. They are all open to the public and range from painting, clay sculpture, African braids are and récup'art to organic cuisine and homemade fruit juice.
Demonstrations: Dance, music and percussion from 15:00 to 18:30. Provided by the students of the Culture Workshops organised by the ASTM
Shows
- Walking show with the Soleil d'Afrique group at 19:00. Dance, acrobatics, percussions
- Sawuri feat. Filiband at 20:30. Reggae & Hip Hop
- Culinary specialties from 12:00
- Information and craft stands
