ING’s start-up accelerator, ING Fintech Village, now has company: the ING Innovation Studio start-up incubator.

ING Fintech Village

In July 2015, ING coordinated the launch of the ING Fintech Village, the first Belgium accelerator for financial technology (fintech). Its goal is to jump-start the growth of innovative developers of financial applications, from Belgium and around the world, by relying on the expertise of ING and its partners—Deloitte, SWIFT Innotribe, Belcube, Smartfin Capital, IBM, Eggsplore, and Startups.be.

ING Fintech Village officially commenced operations on 1 March this year at Diegem, near Brussels. Eight start-ups are benefiting from the guidance of mentors and ING partners.

Innovation Studio

The Innovation Studio, based in Amsterdam, targets start-ups just setting up. It offers them financial support, lets them benefit from others’ experience and knowledge, and gives them the chance to network with other entrepreneurs.

Innovation Studio is thus an incubator for assisting fledgling start-ups not yet eligible to participate in the Fintech Village programme. ING can provide backing to the companies it selects by acquiring minority stakes in them. The goal is to group diverse talents into teams that are able and driven to design agile, innovative solutions that solve the problems our clients face.

Start-ups eager to embark on this adventure must submit applications between 18 April and 27 May. And this invitation is of course open to companies from Luxembourg!
