The annual Charity Duck Race 2016 was held on the Alzette River in the Pétrusse valley in Luxembourg city centre on Saturday afternoon.

With 15,000 ducks "sold" beforehand, the race itself was split into three heats, with the top ducks from each going into the final, from which the top 30 won prizes, with the owner of the fastest duck winning a car, a Suzuki Vitara provided by Autopolis.

Entrants could purchase a duck for €5, the proceeds of which went to Caritas Luxembourg, Association Thérapie Équestre and Hëllef fir de Puppelchen, in the event organised by the Table Ronde Luxembourgeoise.
