The 5th AutoOccasiounsFestival Second-hand Car Festival in Luxembourg is being held from 18 - 24 April 2016 across the Grand Duchy, organised jointly by the ADAL (the Luxembourg Association of Vehicle Distributors) and FEGARLUX (the Luxembourg Federation of Garage Owners).
During this Festival, a total of 40 used car dealerships and garages participating in the action will open their doors across the Grand Duchy to members of the public, offering the best conditions, warranties and excellent service to acquire a second-hard car. Hundreds of used vehicles will be offered for sale with exceptional conditions, controlled and guaranteed by professionals.
After the registration decline of new vehicles in 2015, this year looks more promising for the automotive market with a strong recovery expected for 2016. For two years, sales of used cars have exceeded those of new vehicles and, since 2012, the number of registrations of used cars has exceeded that of new cars, with 55,061 second-hand cars compared with 46,473 new cars in 2015.
all participating garages and showrooms will be open between 09:00 and 19:00 from Monday 18 April to Saturday 23 April, with some garages also opening on Sunday 24 April too.
The second-hand car market in the Grand Duchy covers vehicles which have an average value of €11,000, against €29,000 for new cars.
