The Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO) and Cercle Cité have announced two new Sunday tea dances for spring 2016.
Organised in collaboration with the Danzsportclub Rout-Wäiss-Blo Lëtzebuerg RWB non-profit, the tea dances will be held from 15:00 to 18:30 on Sunday 13 March and Sunday 10 April 2016. The RWB Combo orchestra will perform at each event, conducted by Claude Sinner, with every generation invited to gather for a variety of dances on the programme, including the samba, the English and Viennese waltz, the cha-cha, tango, rumba, paso doble, the slow foxtrot and the quickstep. The events will also be a chance to rediscover the venue, the restored Cercle Cité which was home to prestigious tea dances in the 50s and 60s.
Each tea dance will take place in the Great Hall (Grande Salle) of the Cercle Cité in the Place d'Armes of Luxembourg City. Entry costs €10 and both sweet and savoury food will be provided onsite. Tickets can be purchased at www.luxembourgticket.lu or on the day from 14:00. For more information, contact +352 222 809 or touristinfo@lcto.lu, or visit www.lcto.lu or www.cerclecite.lu.
