The entry fee is €15 which includes a t-shirt, refreshments at the halfway point, free e-mails/SMS with results the use of changing rooms and showers and more. Whilst online registration closed on Friday 26 February, on-site registration will still be possible on Saturday 12 March from 14:00 to 18:00 and on Sunday 13 March from 08:00 to 09:00.
Prizes will be given to the first three in each category (men and women) and the winner of each age category. Whoever beats the time record of 29 minutes and 4 seconds will be given a special prize in addition to any other prize won.
The event will also host a separate 500 metre race for children born between 2008 and 2011, as well as a 1,000 metres race for children born between 2002 and 2007. This “Lalux Kids Run” (part of the Yuppi Mini Laf 2016) will start at 10:10. On-site registration for these two events will only be available on Saturday 12 March. From 09:00 to 12:00, a day-care for children from 2 to 8 years old will be provided by CARITAS Luxembourg.
Those partaking can choose to donate money by making a pledge of €2 to Caritas Luxembourg or by not claiming a return fee for the Champion Chip (within the €15 entry fee). The money raised will help to accommodate the elderly, through a solidarity project involving students.
