In conjunction with the construction work to connect the new gateway with the Pfaffenthal lift, the Côte d'Eich will be closed from 16:00 on Saturday 19 to 17:00 on Monday 21 September 2015.

The work will necessitate traffic detours on the N 53A on the Côte d'Eich, meaning that to head into town in the direction of Limpertsberg, from Place d'Argent motorists will need to travel vis the lower part of the Côte d'Eich, towards Rue des Glacis, Allée Scheffer and Avenue Pasteur before reaching Avenue de la Porte-Neuve.

From Boulevard Royal heading towards Côte d'Eich, drivers will be redirected via Avenue de la Porte-Neuve, Avenue Victor Hugo and Rue des Glacis before arriving at the lower part of Côte d'Eich. For all other destinations, a direction guide in place at Place D'Argent will guide motorists via Rue de Muhlenback and Rue de Rollingergrund to Place de l'Etoile.

Certain bus routes will also be affected by the construction route. Heading towards the city centre, bus lines 5, 10 and 11 will be redirected via Avenue de la Porte-Neuve, Avenue Victor Hugo and Rue des Glacis to reach the southern part of Côte d'Eich.

In the opposite direction, the same bus lines will be diverted via Côte d'Eich before heading towards Rue des Glacis, Allée Scheffer, Avenue Pasteur, Avenue de la Porte-Neuve and Rue des Bains.

The 'Badanstalt' stop will be replaced with the 'Forum Royal' stop in both directions.
