On Sunday 20 September 2015, the Collège des Bourgmestre et Échevins de la Ville de Luxembourg, POST Luxembourg and Amicale Post Luxembourg will be hlding the 5th edition of the sporting event '6 Stonne Vëlo mat der Post an der Stad'.
This leisure cycling challenge will take place once again on the streets and in the buildings of POST Luxembourg at the Cloche D'Or in Luxembourg-Gasperich, from 11:00 until 17:00.
Organise by l'Amicale de POST Luxembourg in collaboration with the Ville de Luxembourg, the event represents the commitment of the City to sports activities and the spirit of competition.
'6 Stonne Vëlo mat der Post an der Stad' involves a bicycle race between teams comprised of a maximum of six teammates. Throughout the six hours of the race, each team must be represented by a cyclist on a circuit of 2.1 kilometres. The final race classification will be done by team in the categories of 'Open: License and Unlicensed', 'Inter-Enterprise: Companies', 'Women' and 'Adolescents from 2002'.
The prize-giving ceremony will be held at 18:00 and will be attended by representatives of the Collège échevinal de la Ville and of POST Luxembourg.
As in 2014, several sporting activities will be available for free from the Service des Sports de la Ville in order to allow both children and adults to discover a multitude of recreational sports, including circus activities, badminton, table tennis, slacklining, cross-boccia and rope-skipping.
The '6 Stonne Vëlo mat der Post an der Stad' event will help support Croix-Rouge luxembourgeoise.
