Following suggestions made by public transport users regarding the new bus system introduced on 1 June 2015, it was announced yesterday that changes have been made to certain bus lines.

The adaptations to the new routes and timetables have been initiated by the Ville de Luxembourg and the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure in response to certain requests made by members of the public who have been using the new transport system.

From 20 September 2015, the following changes will come into effect:

 - Line 29 will also be running on Sundays and public holidays between the Gare Centrale and Senningerberg, Charlys Station. In the capital, the line will also service the Pulvermühle district every 30 minutes between 08:00 and 23:00.

 - On Sundays and public holidays Line 9, the terminus of which was up until now near the Lycée Technique de Bonnevoie, will be extended to the district of Hesperange in order to serve the 'Howald, C.I.P.A' stop every hour between 10:00 and 20:00.

 - The addition of several regional routes to Line 125 will now better service the Bouillon-Kirchberg John F. Kennedy region on Sundays and public holidays.

The Ville de Luxembourg and Ministry have also improved certain aspects of RGTR City lines.

 - The route of Line 215 (Bascharage - Kirchberg) has been extended from Hôpital Kirchberg to 'Rehazenter' and will criculate every 20 minutes on weekdays and every two hours on Sundays and public holidays.

 - In the capital, Line 172 between Frisange and Kirchberg has been adapted to follow the same route as Lines 192 and 194 and will serve the same stops.

 - Line 144 has also been extended from direction Neuhäusgen to Itzig and will stop at 'Dernier Sol', 'Hippodrome' and 'Neufchâteau' to Route de Thionville, which will increase the frequency of buses connecting the city centre with Bonnevoie and vice versa.

As part of the redevelopment of Luxembourg City's bus network, the school buses travelling to the Limpertsberg campus, Geesseknäppchen and the campus of European School I in Kirchberg will experience a number of changes in the 2015/16 academic year.
