The Ville de Luxembourg today announced that, in collaboration with the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, it will be providing a shuttle service for members of the public taking advantage of the opening of shops in the Ville Haute and Gare district of the City centre on Sunday 2 August 2015.
The City Shopping Bus will leave every six minutes between 13:30 and 18:30, running from the Glacis car park which has over 1,200 available spaces and is free on Sundays, to Rue Beaumont in the city centre. In addition, lines 1-31 of the City's bus network, as well as RGTR lines 120, 144, 192, 194 and 215 will be free this Sunday too.
Line 1 will depart from 12:48 every ten minutes from Bouillon Park&Ride, which is also open on weekends, to the Gare district and city centre. For the return journey, buses will start from 13:05 from Hamilius Quai 2 on Boulevard Royal.
Due to the 'Konscht am Gronn' event, Line 23 will be diverted to the Montée de Clausen and will therefore not stop at Tour Jacob and Rumm, while a shuttle will run every thirty minutes between Platform 7 of Gare Centrale and the parking at the beginning of Rue St Ulrich in Stadtgrund.
