Ukrainian duo Julia and Oleg Kurchenkov, also known as Nova Music, will be playing a last-minute dinner show at House 17 in Luxembourg City on Saturday 19 March 2022 at 19:00.

The musician couple, who recently fled the war in Ukraine, will replace Luxembourg alternative rockers PTOLEMEA whose show at House 17 has been cancelled due to unforessen circumstances.

"Our names are Julia and Oleg Kurchenkov. We are a young Ukrainian married couple, two musicians who in 2014 had to leave Mariupol for Kyiv due to the Russian invasion of the Donbass region", the duo explained. "We were happy to turn this page of our history and begun our new life in Kyiv. Though it was not easy to start from scratch in the Ukrainian capital, we continued to follow our passion for music, taking part in festivals, events and concerts and giving guitar and vocal lessons. Our love for musical and artistic activity helped us look to the future and not remain trapped by the past".

They continued: "Several years have passed since then and we find ourselves as refugees once again but this time even further away from our home country Ukraine. But this will not stop us from playing music and performing! That is why we want to play and sing in Luxemburg. We hope to get a warm welcome from the Luxembourg people with an open mind and heart towards creative artists, just as we are".

Nova Music will play a number of pop, folk and jazz classics, along with a number of Ukrainian songs.

On the dinner menu is the traditional Luxembourgish dish, Ham, Fritten an Zalot (ham, chips and salad), or a vegetarian alternative. Different burgers are also available.

The event costs €45 per person for House 17 members and €55 per person for non-members. Drinks are not included in the price. Reservations are required via email: reception@house17.lu or via tel.: 201-017.

This show is being organised by The Grund Club Luxembourg.
