Le Salon de Helen Buchholtz has announced that its two-day musical event, Interlude 2026, dedicated to highlighting lesser-known musical works and supporting emerging artists, will take place at Bridderhaus in Esch-sur-Alzette on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November 2026.
The event will feature two concerts bringing together emerging Luxembourg musicians and the works of British composer Rebecca Clarke, with the programme focusing on young vocal talent and chamber music, including compositions that are rarely performed.
On Saturday, Salon Next Gen will feature four artists from Luxembourg's emerging classical music scene: baritone Olivier Nilles accompanied by pianist Doriana Tchakarova; and soprano Marie-Christiane Nishimwe accompanied by pianist Manon Parmentier.
The concert will launch a new series aimed at supporting emerging vocal performers in Luxembourg and providing opportunities for artistic exchange and development.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, Rebecca Clarke – 140 Years, a Conversation Rediscovered will mark the 140th anniversary of the British composer's birth. Violinist Sandrine Cantoreggi, violist Sophie Urhausen, soprano Gerlinde Sämann and pianist Claude Weber will perform a chamber music programme dedicated to Rebecca Clarke's works.
Interlude 2026 will also look ahead to 2027, which will mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Esch-sur-Alzette composer Helen Buchholtz.
