Dr Edoardo Striani, an award-winning astrophysicist and international handpan artist, will be playing a concert at Neumünster Abbey (neimënster) in Luxembourg-Grund on Monday 14 March 2022 at 19:30.
"Music of the Stars" is a journey of discovery through the cosmos presented by Dr Edoardo Striani. Combining his passions of astrophysics and handpan music, Dr Striani's show aims to educate, entertain and inspire awe in our universe. Topics covered include the dimensions of the observable universe, exoplanets and the birth and death of stars, accompanied by ethereal live handpan music and high resolution video footage. There will also be time for questions from the audience at the end.
The American Astronomical Society awarded Dr Edoardo Striani and his team the Bruno Rossi Prize for astrophysics for their work on the Crab Nebula. Dr Striani has also authored over 50 scientific publications. As a musician, he has performed in some of the most important handpan festivals in Italy and abroad and has already performed Music of the Stars in Milan (Italy), Moscow (Russia) and Switzerland.
