On Thursday 17 July 2025, ACL Sport announced that it is making the new digital tool "IDD Sport" available to its licence holders* free of charge.

Developed by professionals from the world of rallying and competition, IDD Sport offers a new digital solution designed to simplify the management of documents and personal data in the context of national competitions. This "digital passport" centralises the key information relating to the licence holder, their equipment and their official documents.

Licence holders can record:

  • their identity and contact data;
  • the characteristics of their equipment (helmet, harness, suit, etc.);
  • their administrative documents (licence, certificates);
  • useful medical information in case of an emergency.

This information is accessible via a personal and secure QR code, which officials and emergency services can consult if necessary.

The introduction of this tool also aims to support the many volunteers who carry out technical and administrative checks during events.

"In many competitions, these checks are carried out by volunteers. With IDD Sport, we provide them with very concrete support by facilitating their work and making processes more fluid. This is an implicit recognition of their commitment and a way to better support them," stated Yves Faber, Manager of ACL Sport.

While use of the application remains optional for the time being, it could become mandatory as early as 2026 (remaining free for ACL Sport licence holders). This decision is part of ACL Sport's desire to improve process efficiency while reducing the administrative burden on the ground.

ACL Sport oversees a range of disciplines, including rally, slalom, karting, hillclimb and eSport, and continues to work on structuring the motorsport ecosystem in Luxembourg. The introduction of the IDD Sport tool is part of this dynamic, offering more professional supervision, while respecting the on-the-ground reality and the voluntary involvement that brings the discipline to life.

*To participate in a motor racing competition under the authority of the FIA, a licence issued by a national sporting authority (ACL Sport in Luxembourg) is required.
