On Saturday 7 February 2026, the Automobile Club du Luxembourg Sport (ACL Sport) named Dylan Pereira its Motorsport Athlete of the Year 2025 during the organisation’s annual motorsport gala, held at the GridX centre in Wickrange.

Nearly 300 guests attended the event, which brought together key figures from Luxembourg’s motorsport community to celebrate the achievements of drivers across multiple disciplines. Among ACL Sport’s 354 licensed members in 2025, including 29 women, around 50 individuals were honoured either for their performances in their respective categories or for their overall contribution to motorsport.

The title of “Autosportler vum Joer 2025” was awarded following a combined vote by the public, the Luxembourg Motorsports Writers Association (LMWA), the ACL Sport Executive Committee and its sporting and technical officials. Dylan Pereira secured the top distinction with 25.23% of the vote, finishing ahead of Justin Flammang (9.57%) and Grégoire Munster (8.84%).

“I warmly congratulate Dylan Pereira on his career and performances throughout the year. I also congratulate all the drivers. I know they all competed with the same passion and determination. They fully contribute to the development and promotion of Luxembourg motorsport,” said Yves Wagner, President of the ACL.

The award followed Dylan Pereira’s results during the 2025 season, which included the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia title and victories at the 24 Hours of Zolder and Nürburgring, as well as the 12 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. This marked the fourth time he has received the Motorsport Athlete of the Year title, after previous awards in 2017, 2019 and 2021.

Looking back on the 2025 season, ACL Sport Sporting Director Florian Brouir highlighted several key developments in an interview with Chronicle.lu, notably the return of a historic national event and the launch of a new competition format: “One major point was the rebirth of the Lorentzweiler Hill Climb. After several years without the event, 2025 marked its first reactivation year, and it will continue again in 2026. That was a real highlight. I would also mention the Race X - ACL Champions Edition, a new time-trial competition held during the Luxembourg International Motor Show. Those two events were clearly the major new highlights of 2025.”

He added that 2026 is expected to be a transition year for ACL Sport, with renewed focus on Mondercange and the return of official competition racing to the venue for the first time since 1998: “This year should be a transition year for ACL Sport, with big plans, especially in Mondercange. We want to organise several events there, not only karting, but also slalom competitions.”

The programme will include karting races, international collaborations with German championships, continued slalom events alongside Colmar-Berg, and the second edition of Race X, scheduled to take place in Mondercange in October.
