On Thursday 11 November 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 243 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 854 fatalities (two new deaths since Wednesday) resulting from the virus to date.
243 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Thursday from a total of 3,218 tests carried out the day before, representing 38.28 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 7.55%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 147.86.
A total of 38 people are in hospital with the virus, including fifteen patients in intensive care.
There are currently 2,643 active infections known, whilst a total of 80,572 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproduction rate in Luxembourg stands at 1.42.
A total of 852,332 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (439,281 first doses, 379,637 second doses, 33,414 additional doses). A total of 419,486 people are now fully vaccinated.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
