At its meeting on Friday, the cabinet of the Luxembourg government decided to regulate the use of laser machines used for cosmetic and aesthetic use.
The government aims to regulate the possession and use of lasers for cosmetic purposes in applications such as hair removal, tattoo removal and treatment of wrinkles.
The use of such devices is to be restricted to physicians licensed to practice medicine. Also, those authorised to exercise the profession of esthetician can continue to use such lasers for the purpose of permanent hair removal.
